A head full of ideas is often a blessing. Ideas are like birds. They flutter around in your head. Give you pleasure. Offer opportunities. But also create distance from everyday reality. Sometimes ensure that you are not in touch with reality. Disconnected.
This drawing is titled ‘Loss’ from the series ‘2026’. We read about the wars in Gaza and in Iran. About destruction. About people dying. And behind every lost life lies immeasurable suffering. Wars are battles of collective against collective, but the suffering is purely individual.
